If you're Irish you just need to find a location. Pick a home to buy or rent.

Assuming this is a year round move you'll need to apply for residence but that's not very difficult. The income requirement is fairly low.

I think if you're retired even health care won't be an issue. If you aren't you'll need to get health insurance.

Sicily is probably your best bet. nice temperatures all year round, which would be great for your British Shorthair cats. lovely pace of life, great food, and amazing beaches
